Can Bonet is a 17th-century Catalan masia (farmhouse) located in the medieval town of Sant Martí Vell, at the foot of the Gavarres mountains. In the north of Gironès County, the property is close to the capital Girona and its monumental heritage. It is also within easy reach of the beaches of the Costa Brava and the most picturesque towns and villages of Baix Empordà County.
The property offers three unique apartments to rent, with capacity for nine people, to enjoy a relaxing rural getaway: El Celler, a rustic apartment for couples or families; La Volta, ideal for families and friends; and La Pallissa, a romantic apartment for couples.
La Pallissa rural apartment is a cosy and romantic place that is ideal for two people. This former hay barn has been totally refurbished while maintaining its charming 17th-century architectural features. It has one bedroom with a double bed set on a tatami. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, fridge-freezer, small appliances and all the utensils necessary for your stay. The living-dining room boasts large windows that seem to invite the forest into the home, and a beautiful designer fireplace. The bathroom has a shower, hairdryer, towels and amenities. In addition, the apartment has a large terrace with spectacular views of the forest.
The common areas of the property include a large garden with a pretty porch furnished with table and chairs, a large above-ground temporary swimming pool to cool off in during the summer, a games area, loungers, a small vegetable garden and domestic animals such as chickens and geese, to delight our younger guests.
A stone’s throw from Can Bonet you will find some of the prettiest towns in Empordà County, such as Monells and Peratallada, as well as the Costa Brava’s most spectacular beaches such as Begur, Pals and L’Escala. If you enjoy day trips, within the municipality, at an altitude of 400 metres you will find the sanctuary of Mare de Déu dels Àngels, from where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Costa Brava, the Empordà plain and the Pyrenees.
