In Cornellà del Terri, a village just ten minutes from the city of Girona and a quarter of an hour from Banyoles, we find Can Riera rural house. This 18th-century farmhouse has been lovingly renovated with great attention to detail to turn it into rural accommodation to rent entirely with capacity for 10 people.
The house is set in a spectacular scenic landscape surrounded by the fields of the Pla de l’Estany region, making it an ideal spot for getting away from it all. The wonderful views will take your breath away as soon as you arrive. The colours of the landscape are truly stunning, with the green fields contrasting with the white of the Pyrenees in winter and the dramatic sunsets all year round.
Can Riera offers 4 bedrooms, each with its own special charm: Canigó is furnished with a queen-size bed (1.6m x 2m) and double sofa bed; Campanar has twin beds (1m x 2m); Sant Mer has a queen-size bed; and Rocacorba has a queen-size bed plus the option of adding an extra bed for a child. All the bedrooms have their own private bathrooms.
The house also has a Bridal Suite: a 60 m2 room with an extra-large bed (2m x 2m), private bathroom with a round bathtub, living and office area. The suite is exclusively available on request. Supplement applies.
The rest of the house offers a fully equipped kitchen; a living room with fireplace and access to the garden; three guest bathrooms; a home cinema equipped with a 72-inch smart TV; a large lounge with comfortable sofas, library and pool table; a wine cellar; and a laundry room. The farmhouse’s outdoor area, with its large, carefully maintained 2,500 m2 garden, is a genuine oasis of tranquillity. Why not go on an outing from the farmhouse to enjoy the views, a family barbecue for lunch, settle down with a good book in the haybarn, take a dip in the thirteen-metre swimming pool in the evening and watch the sun set behind the Pyrenees… it’s a real luxury. It lies between the counties of Gironès, Empordà and Garrotxa, just a few minutes from Banyoles Lake, one of the largest natural lakes in Catalonia.
