"A quiet place"
Description

In the town of Viladrau, in the heart of the Montseny-Guilleries Natural Park, surrounded by mountains, forests, water and legends of all sorts, we find Can Xisquet. The house is just half an hour from the city of Girona and fifteen minutes from Vic.

This full rental rural house occupies a farmhouse dating back to 1752, which has been fully restored. It sleeps a maximum of 10 people, and has five double bedrooms. Four of the rooms have a double bed and one room has twin beds. Three of the double rooms have en-suite bathrooms, while the other two share a bathroom. In addition, there is also a guest toilet on the ground floor.

With its fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room with fireplace, meeting room with extensive library, music room and laundry, Can Xisquet can be enjoyed all year round. For the summer months, it has a shady porch and fenced-in swimming pool, offering maximum peace of mind for those with children.

All kinds of trips can be planned from Can Xisquet: you can enjoy routes that follow the streams and aquifers that make the Montseny mountains so famous; or go hiking and perhaps climb Matagalls mountain. This peak, together with Canigou and Montserrat, form the triangle of the three crosses mentioned in the poems of well-known Catalan writer Jacint Verdaguer in the 19th century.

From the house you can also visit the Font de les Patides spring, named after a group of fairies that protect and look after the town’s water sources, or discover La Sala, a fortified farmhouse with medieval wall and tower that was home to the famous 16th-century highwayman, Joan Sala, commonly known as ‘Serrallonga’.

We’re sorry, but Can Xisquet does not admit pets.
