In the Ripollès region, two kilometres from the town of Sant Joan de les Abadesses, on the sunny slope of the plain of the River Ter valley in the direction of Camprodon, you will find La Batllia rural accommodation in the grounds of a large Catalan farmhouse which still operates an agricultural and livestock business.
This exceptional property sleeps up to 20 people, and is made up of three independent and fully equipped buildings: La Batllia I, La Batllia II and La Cabanya, two of which occupy former sharecroppers’ houses and the third is a converted hay barn.
La Batllia II rural accommodation sleeps a maximum of six people. It has two bedrooms, one with single beds and another with a double bed, a fully equipped kitchen and living-dining room with fireplace. It also has a loft space where an extra room can be added.
The property is surrounded by an enormous garden, shared by the three guest buildings, where you will find the barbecues, shady picnic areas and the covered heated swimming pool, which can be enjoyed virtually all year round!
At La Batllia there are domestic animals and a cattle farm where children can discover the secrets of agricultural and livestock farming life while savouring unique experiences meeting the animals.
Thanks to its location, on the plain of the River Ter valley, it is easy to plan walking and cycling routes from the property, as it is the perfect area for hiking and mountain biking. Nearby you will find the Iron Route, a greenway linking the town of Sant Joan de les Abadesses with its neighbouring towns of Ripoll and Ogassa. The county is also home to the monasteries of Sant Joan de les Abadesses and Ripoll, two must-see locations that are among Catalonia’s most important architectural treasures.
We’re sorry but pets are not allowed at La Batllia.
