Mas del Joncar is located in the Alt Empordà region, in the village of Sant Pere Pescador, in the Baix Fluvià, just twenty minutes from Figueres, Roses or l’Escala, where the ruins of Empúries are, next to the Natural Park of Els Aiguamolls de l’Empordà, one of the most fascinating biological reserves of the Catalan coast, where more than 300 species of birds have been dated.
The house was built in the 19th century and is now completely restored and carefully furnished. With capacity for up to 10 people, it has five bedrooms with bathroom, heating, television and air conditioning, two of them with terrace. The dining room is very sunny with views of the garden. In the upstairs lounge you can relax playing board games, reading or enjoying nature in the large garden with its salt water pool. The accommodation has free Wi-Fi.
The meals you will enjoy at Mas del Joncar are a delight. They are prepared by the owners of the house with local products.
Thanks to the location of Mas del Joncar, which is 900 metres from Sant Pere Pescador, you will be able to discover Els Aiguamolls de l’Empordà Park through the nature trails. You also have the beaches of Sant Pere Pescador, Empuriabrava and Roses where, in summer, you can practice all kinds of water sports. If you are adventurous, you can also go skydiving.
As for cultural activities, you can visit the regional capital, Figueres, where you will find the Dalí Museum and the Toy Museum.
