Mas Riera is situated in Maià de Montcal a very cosy and typical catalan village with the essence of the tradition and the charmy of a privileged landscape. We would like to highlight Mas Riera’s well communicated situation and easy arrival. It is 4km far from Besalú (a Medieval Village), 12km from Banyoles (a quiet and sporty village because of its lake), 25km from Girona (the main city around) and Olot, at 27km with it’s interesting and unforgettable volcano area.
Mas Riera has two different and separated buildings: Mas Riera I (an eight person capacity) and Mas Riera II (a six person capacity). However, there is also the possibility to rent them together, having a fourteen person capacity, as the two houses can be connected by the dining room.
As it is mentioned before, Mas Riera I has an 8 people capacity and is located next to the owner’s main house. It’s got a basement floor with an open kitchen and a dining room. In the basement there is also a small toilet and a very comfortable living room. On the first floor, there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms all of them sensitive decorated and carefully equipped by everything you might need in your rural stay (hairdresser, small robots, towels, bed shifts, etc).
As we have already mentioned before, the two houses can be connected by the basement. So that, if you are two families you have the choice to spend your holiday living apart together.
Mas Riera disposes of a wide recreation area with different sports and games practise: football, badminton, volleyball and tennis table. But we encourage you the most to walk around the house and have nice experiences not very far from the rural apartment. You can get lost walking across the medieval bridge or have a bath to the different waterfalls that make the area magic and special.
If you decide, after discovering Mas Riera surroundings, to get lost a bit further, you will get caught by Besalú, the medieval village, or to the natural and lively area of Olot with its still active volcano landscape.
For a nice shopping or a great museum experience, Figueres or Girona will also make your stay in Mas Riera your best relaxing stay ever, surrounded by nature but close to everything.
