In the village of Llampaies, within the municipality of Saus, Camallera and Llampaies, in Alt Empordà, at 15mn from the Costa Brava, there is the rural property Can Gat Vell. It has 3 attached rural houses within the Small Cottage: La Solana, El Graner and La Pallissa, which can accommodate up to a maximum of 15 people. The house is easily accessible as it is located at a border point with the region of Gironès, Baix Empordà, Pla de l’Estany and near the main roads connecting the Costa Brava and the border with France.
The rural house La Pallissa has two floors and offers three rooms for a maximum of 9 people. There is the possibility of connecting it with La Solana, and in this way reach up to 11 people.
On the upper floor we find the triple room, with a double bed and a sofa bed. The roof retains the old wooden beams so typical of Catalan farmhouses. A bathroom with shower is part of this room. The other two bedrooms are located on the lower floor: one has a double bed and an equipped bathroom, with a beautiful Ibiza style decoration with white walls. The other room has three single beds, with capacity for one more, being the largest of them all. It also has a bathroom with a bathtub/shower.
Also on the lower floor, and in a single space, the kitchen, the dining room and the living room, personalized with an old restored fireplace and presided over by an imposing wooden beam. The bright kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, hob and microwave.
This accommodation has a private patio at the back, with terrace furniture and a portable barbecue.
All the rural accommodations share the large garden, with several spaces, a barbecue area for meals, two swimming pools with security fence, one of them child-sized. There is also a multi-purpose room, with games such as table football, and other outdoor areas equipped with games such as table tennis, a football goal and a basketball hoop, swings. Can Gat Vell also has a chicken coop with chickens and rabbits.
From Can Gat Vell you can get to the beaches of Alt Empordà, just 15 minutes away, as well as the cities of Girona and Figueres, 20 minutes away, with all their cultural and gastronomic offer within easy reach. The Natural Park of Aiguamolls de l’Empordà and the Greco-Roman Ruins of Empúries complete the possibilities of the stay. In addition, you are less than an hour from La Garrotxa where you can do the volcanoes route and 25 minutes from Banyoles with its well-known lake and where you can enjoy the pedestrian routes, by bike around it or by boat or kayak.
