In the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees, 80 kilometres from Girona, 100 kilometres from Barcelona, located in the centre of the Ripollès region in the town of Sant Joan de les Abadesses, we find El Reixac, nestled between the valleys of Núria and of Camprodon and the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park.
This rural house to rent occupies a property dating back to the 14th century that has been fully restored and decorated to evoke the atmosphere of a bygone era, with a Provençal air that makes it quite unique. El Reixac’s singular interior design makes it a charming and cosy house, filled with little details which, together with its carefully restored furniture, have caught the attention of Spain’s leading interior design and décor magazines.
In total, El Reixac offers five rural accommodation options: Colomar, Galliner, Cabana, Mossos and Xalet which sleep 2/3, 4/5, 4/5, 6/7 and 6/8 people respectively.
The name of this house refers to the former dovecote which has been converted into a compact, but very well-equipped house that sleeps two/three people. The large bedroom has plenty of natural light and is furnished with a double bed plus an extra bed. The kitchen is rustic and fully equipped with all the appliances and utensils necessary for a comfortable stay. The living-dining room has a table and chairs, and a sofa in front of the fireplace and television. The bathroom is fully equipped.
Outside there is a large multi-use space named the Cobert, which was designed as a mountain refuge. In this building there are barbecues, a kitchen with an oven, a washing machine and fridge for storing food. There are also board games, satellite television, a piano and the option of setting up a projector to watch films.
In addition to the Cobert, outside you will also find the swimming pool and sauna, a terrace with loungers, a children’s play area and a picnic area with several tables.
